Few areas of the law are more personal, more difficult and more intense than family law.  We have counseled clients for more than a decade through all aspects of family law, including marital dissolutions involving issues of property division, support, child custody and visitation.

We have regularly represented clients in paternity cases, domestic violence, premarital and living-together arrangements, domestic partnerships, adoptions and other aspects of domestic relations including the negotiation and drafting of pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.  The services range from short-term and emergency matters such as orders of protection and injunctions, through the process of final resolution, whether by negotiated settlement, trial or necessary appeals.

Our firm’s wealth of experience in business law provides support for determination of issues like valuation of pensions, stock options, and goodwill arising from business or professional activities of either or both spouses.  Although most cases are resolved without resort to costly and time-consuming litigation, when necessary to protect a client’s interest, we do not hesitate to go to court.  The firm’s tradition of common sense, integrity and expertise, provides us the means to achieve timely resolution of difficult family avoiding confrontation where possible, particularly when children are involved.
